Inlet Studio LLC (“Inlet Studio,” “we,” “us”) operates the Tend mobile application (“Tend” or the “app”) and is committed to protecting the privacy of our users. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use Tend.
Tend collects health-related information you voluntarily enter, including but not limited to: medication names, dosages, and administration times; vital signs (blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, weight); mood and behavioral observations; meal and nutrition records; incident reports; and medical conditions. This data is classified as consumer health data under applicable state laws.
Names, profile photos, relationships, dates of birth, and roles within care circles.
Apple ID association for subscription management, device type, operating system version, and app version.
To support coordination among care circle members, Tend records who created, modified, or deleted each care entry, and when. These records are stored with your care data and are visible to other members of the same care circle through the Activity Feed. Tend does not log IP addresses and does not maintain separate server-side audit logs.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the Tend caregiving coordination service. Specifically, we use it to: display your care timeline and history; generate Doctor Visit Summary reports; send medication and care reminders; synchronize data across your care circle via Apple iCloud (CloudKit); display activity records to other members of your care circle; and process subscription payments through Apple’s App Store.
Care data is stored locally on your device and, when enabled, synced via Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure. Inlet Studio LLC does not operate independent data servers and does not have direct access to your care data. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest using Apple’s platform security standards.
Tend does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal or health information with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Care data is shared only with members of your designated care circle(s) through iCloud sharing. Doctor Visit Summary PDF exports are generated locally on your device and shared only when you explicitly choose to do so. Subscription and payment data is processed exclusively by Apple and is governed by Apple’s privacy policy.
You may delete your entire Tend account at any time from the Settings screen. Upon account deletion, all personal profile data is removed immediately. Care entries you authored will be retained in anonymized form (attributed to “Deleted User”) to preserve the continuity of care records for other circle members.
You may remove yourself from any individual care circle without deleting your entire account. Your membership and role are removed from that circle. Care entries you logged within that circle are anonymized as described above.
If a subscription lapses or is cancelled, all associated account and care data is retained for 30 days to allow for resubscription in the event of a billing lapse. After 30 days without an active subscription, all care data, circle configurations, and member associations owned by the subscription holder are permanently deleted.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion of your personal information; and opt out of the sale of personal information. Tend does not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, use the in-app deletion features or contact us at privacy@inletstudios.com.
Tend complies with applicable state consumer health data privacy laws, including the Washington My Health My Data Act and similar legislation in Connecticut, Nevada, and other jurisdictions. You may exercise your rights under these laws by using the in-app data management features or by contacting us directly.
Tend integrates with the following third-party services: Apple CloudKit for data synchronization across devices and care circles; Apple StoreKit for subscription and payment processing; and Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) for medication and care reminders. Each of these services is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and terms of service.
Tend is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Care data about a minor may be entered by an authorized caregiver acting in a parental or guardian capacity.
Profile photos and care entry attachments are stored locally and synced via CloudKit. Tend does not perform facial recognition or biometric analysis on any photos. Photos are used solely for display within the app.
Inlet Studio LLC uses AI-assisted development tools in the design and coding of the Tend application. The Tend app itself does not use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or any automated decision-making system to process, analyze, or act upon user data. All care information you enter is stored and displayed as you provide it, without AI-based interpretation or modification.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through an in-app notification prior to taking effect. Continued use of Tend after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
